Trump is to blame for the government shutdown. And today, he proved yet again that he is the one standing in the way of a bipartisan deal to reopen the government.<\/p>\n

Instead of accepting a bipartisan deal to reopen the government, Trump threw yet another temper tantrum and continued his shutdown.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Schumer<\/a>: \u201c”Again we saw a temper tantrum because he couldn’t get his way.”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Trump<\/a>: \u201cJust left a meeting with Chuck and Nancy, a total waste of time. I asked what is going to happen in 30 days if I quickly open things up, are you going to approve Border Security which includes a Wall or Steel Barrier? Nancy said, NO. I said bye-bye, nothing else works!\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The White House officially said it would veto individual appropriations bills that House Democrats plan to pass to reopen the government.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

OMB<\/a>: \u201cThe Administration opposes passage of H.R. 264, making appropriations for financial services and general government; H.R. 267, making appropriations for the Department of Transportation, and Housing and Urban Development, and related agencies; H.R. 265, making appropriations for Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies programs; and H.R. 266, making appropriations for the Department of the Interior, environment, and related agencies for the fiscal year (FY) ending September 30, 2019 and for other purposes…If H.R. 264, H.R. 267, H.R. 265, or H.R. 266 are presented to the President, his advisors would
\nrecommend that he veto the bills.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reminder: These bills have bipartisan support and passed in the Senate 92-6 with resounding Republican support just months ago.<\/p>\n
