Yesterday Trump once again claimed<\/a> that federal workers support his shutdown. That couldn\u2019t be further from the truth. As one worker put it, \u201cThe president was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. If he thinks he knows how \u2018those people\u2019 think, he is out of his mind.\u201d<\/p>\n

Here are real stories of workers hurt by the Trump Shutdown:<\/p>\n

\u201cFor federal employees, our daily lives revolve around work, so when you take work away from us, there\u2019s a big gap .\u2009.\u2009. It almost feels demoralizing.\u201d – Federal worker<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re trying to do everything we can do to brace for the impact. It\u2019s almost like a hurricane.\u201d – Federal worker<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cFor someone to say that it could go on for months or years, we don\u2019t have months or years. Our creditors are not going to give us an IOU.
