This weekend, Trump took to Twitter to blame a local union leader and workers at the General Motors facility in Lordstown, Ohio for job cuts that he vowed to save.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It\u2019s clear that Trump won\u2019t stand up for workers, and now thousands of workers are struggling to get by because of his broken promises.<\/p>\n

\n

This weekend, Trump blamed a local union leader for GM job cuts in Ohio.<\/p>\n

\n

Washington Post<\/a>: \u201cPresident Trump blamed a small-town union leader Sunday for not doing enough to save a General Motors factory in Lordstown, Ohio, that shuttered on March 6, causing about 5,400 job losses in a struggling part of the country.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

Trump<\/a>: \u201cDemocrat UAW Local 1112 President David Green ought to get his act together and produce. G.M. let our Country down, but other much better car companies are coming into the U.S. in droves. I want action on Lordstown fast. Stop complaining and get the job done!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

Trump promised that we \u201cwon\u2019t lose one plant\u201d if he was elected, and that Ohio was going to replace these jobs in \u201ctwo minutes.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

Trump: “If I\u2019m elected, you won\u2019t lose one plant, you\u2019ll have plant coming into this country, you\u2019re going to have jobs again, you won\u2019t lose one plant.”<\/p>\n

\n

Trump<\/a>: \u201cThose jobs have left Ohio. They\u2019re all coming back. They\u2019re all coming back. Don\u2019t move, don\u2019t sell your house. We\u2019re going to fill up those factories or rip them down and build new ones.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

Trump<\/a>: \u201cIt doesn’t really matter, because Ohio is under my leadership from a national standpoint. Ohio’s going to replace those jobs like in two minutes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, workers continue to struggle to get by because of Trump\u2019s broken promises.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be 100 percent honest, I thought I would be laid off for a few months and then go back to work. At 47, I\u2019m too old to go back to school.\u201d – Laid off worker at GM supplier<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of people here are still going through a grief cycle over this. I have to tell my GM friends to go apply for the Affordable Care Act so they\u2019ll have health insurance.\u201d – Laid off GM worker<\/a><\/p>\n
