In response to Nikki Haley continuing to support extreme abortion bans, <\/em>DNC National Press Secretary Sarafina Chitika released the following statement:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNikki Haley is so proud of her extreme anti-freedom record that she\u2019s running ads bragging that she would sign any national abortion ban that hit her desk and pledging her support for the most far-reaching anti-choice laws across the country. Someone should tell her how enormously unpopular her cruel agenda is so she can save her money instead of spending millions to tank her own campaign.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haley has said she would sign any national abortion ban that landed on her desk. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kirsten Welker<\/a>: \u201cWould you support a 15-week federal limit?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haley: \u201cI would support anything that would pass.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haley<\/a>: \u201cWhatever we can get 60 Senate votes on, isn\u2019t that better than what we have now? And if it\u2019s\u2013 if it\u2019s six weeks, that\u2019s great. If it\u2019s 15 weeks, that\u2019s great.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haley<\/a>: \u201cSo what can we do? Is there room for a federal law? I think there is room for a federal law.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haley\u2019s support for banning abortion nationwide is decidedly unpopular with a majority of voters.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

USA Today<\/a>: \u201cAmericans overwhelmingly oppose the next goal of many anti-abortion activists, to enact a federal law banning abortion nationwide. By 80%-14%, those surveyed opposed that idea, including 65% of Republicans and 83% of independents.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haley has pledged her support for extreme abortion bans before many women know they\u2019re pregnant.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haley<\/a>: \u201cThe question asked in Iowa was, \u2018If you were governor of South Carolina, and they sent you a six-week bill, would you sign it?\u2019 And I said yes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haley is running ads that tout her extreme record that includes signing an abortion ban as governor with no exceptions for rape and incest that threatened doctors with jail time.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
