In response to Nikki Haley bragging about her election-denying New Hampshire campaign chair Don Bolduc, <\/em>DNC Rapid Response Director Alex Floyd released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNikki Haley is bragging about her New Hampshire campaign chair Don Bolduc, who has repeatedly spewed lies and conspiracy theories about the 2020 election. This is after running ads promoting his support, and consistently embracing, uplifting, and campaigning for election deniers just like him. But none of this should be a surprise coming from the same candidate who has said she was proud of Donald Trump\u2019s divisive presidency just days after the January 6 insurrection, and has praised Trump and other election denier extremists ever since. Spreading the Big Lie is a losing tactic that didn\u2019t work for Bolduc in New Hampshire and won\u2019t work for any MAGA extremist on the ballot in November.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haley has campaigned and traded endorsements with MAGA Republicans who have worked to undermine our democracy \u2013 and both her New Hampshire campaign chair and only congressional endorser are both notorious election deniers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDon Bolduc, a retired Army general and former U.S. Senate candidate, is the new chair for Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley\u2019s New Hampshire campaign, the Haley campaign announced Tuesday morning. Bolduc made national headlines during his 2022 Senate campaign \u2026 for his controversial views on COVID-19 and the 2020 election.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CBS News<\/a>: \u201cHaley’s comments about her support for election deniers have not always been accurate.<\/strong> In a 2022 interview with the \u2018Today\u2019 show, she said that she would not campaign for candidates who had denied the results of the 2020 election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2018Everybody that I’m helping acknowledges the fact that the elections, you know, were real,\u2019 Haley said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHowever, Haley had campaigned for Bolduc both before and after his remarks claiming Trump had won the election.<\/strong> She also campaigned for or endorsed other GOP Senate candidates who cast doubt on the results of the 2020 election: Adam Laxalt of Nevada, Herschel Walker of Georgia, Mehmet Oz of Pennsylvania and Ted Budd of North Carolina.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington Post<\/a>: \u201c[Haley] has endorsed and campaigned with a slate of Senate candidates who reject or question the 2020 election results<\/strong> as she positions herself as a potential 2024 presidential candidate. Haley appeared at a rally Tuesday with Don Bolduc of New Hampshire, who insisted Trump won the election and that President Biden was illegitimate … She also campaigned with Adam Laxalt of Nevada, who led the Trump campaign\u2019s efforts to overturn the results in that state. And she endorsed Ted Budd of North Carolina, who as a congressman voted against certifying the electoral college results on Jan. 6, 2021.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn addition to Bolduc, Laxalt, and Budd, Haley has also endorsed Sen. Mike Lee of Utah, who worked to keep Trump in office after the election, according to text messages obtained by the House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fox News<\/a>: \u201cFormer UN Ambassador Nikki Haley has secured the endorsement of a top Trump ally, House Freedom Caucus member Rep. Ralph Norman. \u2026 His support comes despite former President Donald Trump’s endorsement of his re-election the 2022 midterm elections and also after Norman did not vote to certify the 2020 election, in a nod to his loyalty to Trump.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Business Insider<\/a>: \u201cFollowing the January 6, 2021 assault on the US Capitol, and just three days before President Joe Biden’s inauguration, Norman texted then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and urged him to declare martial law \u2014 which would entail suspending the laws of the United States and imposing order through the military.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haley had the audacity to release an ad earlier this month with election denier Don Bolduc on the day before the January 6 insurrection’s third anniversary.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Haley campaign this week doubled down on promoting Mr. Bolduc\u2019s support, releasing an ad featuring the retired brigadier general\u2019s describing Haley as \u2018a strong conservative\u2019 \u2026 \u2018Look, I\u2019m MAGA all the way,\u2019 Mr. Bolduc says in its opening lines.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Playbook<\/a>: \u201cNIKKI HALEY is going up with a new ad in New Hampshire featuring DON BOLDUC, the former Army general and failed 2020 and 2022 GOP Senate candidate in the state, who embraced Trump in his second run.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bolduc exhausted every effort to deny the results of the 2020 election and continues to peddle the baseless conspiracy theories that led to the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bolduc<\/a>: \u201cI signed a letter with 120 other generals and admirals saying that Trump won the election, and damn it, I stand by [it]. \u2026 I\u2019m not switching horses, baby. This is it.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bolduc<\/a>: \u201cI will tell you that I signed a letter with 124 admirals and generals that stipulated, I believed, that the election had fraud and that I concurred with President Trump\u2019s assessment of it. And I do not change my mind on that.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNN<\/a>: \u201cNew Hampshire Senate candidate Don Bolduc won the Republican nomination on Tuesday after months campaigning on false claims that the 2020 election was stolen from former President Donald Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c[Bolduc] has long been an exponent of Trump\u2019s lies. In an interview with the New Yorker published in October 2021, he defended his decision to sign on to the letter that said Trump was the 2020 winner and insisted that his rigged election and fraud claims were sincere. <\/strong>\u2018I very much believe it and I think it exists, and I think it happens and it\u2019s been happening for a long time in this country. When you try to steal the Presidency, a lot of people are going to go, \u2018OK, wait a minute. What the hell\u2019s going on here?,’ Bolduc said at the time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington Examiner<\/a>: \u201cBolduc, a retired U.S. Army brigadier general, has equivocated on whether he stands by the results of the 2020 election, claiming before he became the Republican nominee for Senate in New Hampshire that the contest was stolen from former President Donald Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haley\u2019s top New Hampshire endorser Chris Sununu also endorsed Bolduc in 2022 despite his election denialism \u2014 even after Sununu had previously called Bolduc a \u201cconspiracy theorist-type candidate.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
