\u201cPresident Biden is tackling the climate crisis head-on while helping to create jobs here at home. Through his Inflation Reduction Act, President Biden is investing in industries of the future, leading a manufacturing boom, and overseeing the creation of hundreds of thousands of good-paying green jobs nationwide. The stakes in November couldn\u2019t be higher: Trump and MAGA Republicans would put American jobs on the line just to help their special interest buddies.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

President Biden\u2019s Inflation Reduction Act<\/strong> <\/em><\/strong>is the largest investment in climate in history \u2014 tackling climate change head-on and creating hundreds of thousands of good-paying green jobs. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Climate Power<\/a>: \u201cSince President Joe Biden\u2019s landmark climate and clean energy investments became law in August 2022, American companies have taken bold steps forward to build our clean energy future\u2026 In just over a year, companies have announced or moved forward with projects accounting for more than 271,713 new clean energy jobs for electricians, mechanics, construction workers, technicians, support staff, and many others.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNBC<\/a>: \u201cThe bill, which President Joe Biden signed into law in August, is the most aggressive climate investment ever taken by Congress and is expected to slash the country\u2019s planet-warming carbon emissions by about 40% this decade and move the country toward a net-zero economy by 2050.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New York Times<\/a>: \u201cThe data show that in the year since the climate law passed, spending on clean-energy technologies accounted for 4 percent of the nation\u2019s total investment in structures, equipment and durable consumer goods \u2014 more than double the share from four years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Trump\u2019s climate \u201cagenda\u201d has only served one purpose: denying the impact of climate change and gutting environmental protections to help his wealthy Big Oil and Big Gas friends. <\/strong>
<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bloomberg<\/a>: \u201cDonald Trump is the oil and gas industry\u2019s undisputed top pick for the Republican presidential nomination as energy sector donors shower his candidacy with nearly 10 times the amount of money as they gave his challenger Nikki Haley.\u201d
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New York Times<\/a>: \u201cOver four years, the Trump administration dismantled major climate policies and rolled back many more rules governing clean air, water, wildlife and toxic chemicals. In all, a New York Times analysis, based on research from Harvard Law School, Columbia Law School and other sources, counts nearly 100 environmental rules officially reversed, revoked or otherwise rolled back under Mr. Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington Post<\/a>: \u201cTrump reiterated some of his frequently repeated falsehoods and petty grievances. \u2018The global warming hoax, it just never ends,\u2019 he said. He mocked the concept of sea levels rising, disputing widely held science. \u2018To which I say, great, we have more waterfront property,\u2019 he said. \u2018There was a big thing about global cooling \u2014 what will be next?\u2019 he said. Trump said he was<\/p>\n\n\n\n

more concerned about \u2018nuclear warming\u2019 than global warming.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rolling Stone<\/a>: \u201cTrump was in South Carolina to support House candidates Katie Arrington and Russell Fry, as well as the Republican Party as a whole ahead of the midterms in November. He thusly spent plenty of time bashing Democratic policy initiatives. He dismissed the idea that climate change is anything to worry about. \u2018The oceans are going to rise 1\/100 th of an inch in the next 300 years and it\u2019s going to kill everybody,\u2019 he said sarcastically. \u2018It\u2019s going create more oceanfront property, that\u2019s what it\u2019s going to do.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Associated Press<\/a>: \u201cEPA said the previous rule imposed broad restrictions and requirements on when and how the agency conducts cost-benefit analyses, without explaining why the requirements were needed. The Trump rule was unnecessary to carry out provisions of the Clean Air Act, because EPA already conducts cost-benefits analyses for clean air rules, the agency said. The previous rule was part of a wave of deregulatory actions under President Donald Trump, who rolled back dozens of environmental rules he considered overly burdensome on businesses. Many of the regulations were designed to protect the environment and public health, but were viewed by the Trump administration as costly and unnecessary.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MAGA Republicans continue to play politics with the Inflation Reduction Act, with repeated calls to repeal it \u2014 even though some have tried to take credit for the dough after voting no. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

New York Times<\/a>: \u201cRepublican lawmakers have tried, unsuccessfully, to repeal much of the law since it was passed entirely with Democratic votes in 2022. Company officials and energy researchers say a broad repeal of the law remains unlikely, given that many new projects are creating jobs and generating investment in Republican districts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Guardian<\/a>: \u201cAt least a dozen Republican members of Congress have welcomed clean energy investment flowing to their electorates following Joe Biden\u2019s landmark climate bill, even as they launch fresh attempts to dismantle the legislation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Financial Times<\/a>: \u201cDonald Trump is planning to gut US President Joe Biden\u2019s landmark climate law, increase investment in fossil fuels and roll back regulations aimed at accelerating the transition to electric vehicles if he is elected next year\u2026 They added that the Inflation Reduction Act \u2014 the centrepiece of Biden\u2019s economic strategy, with $369bn in tax breaks and subsidies for clean energy \u2014 would be in Trump\u2019s crosshairs.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
