With another of Trump\u2019s extreme abortion bans going into effect in Florida, access to reproductive care will be ripped away from millions of women not just in Florida, but throughout the South. This wouldn\u2019t be possible without Trump proudly \u201ckilling\u201d Roe v. Wade<\/em>, and he and his MAGA allies are actively plotting to take this agenda nationwide and ban abortion in all 50 states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDonald Trump is responsible for the extreme abortion ban in Florida and those across the country. It\u2019s not just Florida: Women throughout the South will face the brunt of this cruel attack on their freedoms, but what\u2019s worse is his MAGA allies already have plans to take this agenda nationwide by enacting a national abortion ban with or without the help of Congress,\u201d said<\/strong> DNC spokesperson Jackie Bush.<\/strong> <\/em><\/strong>\u201cThe stakes in this election couldn\u2019t be higher, and come November, voters in the South and across the country will head to the polls knowing that President Biden and Vice President Harris are the only candidates fighting to protect reproductive freedom.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Donald Trump paved the way for Roe v. Wade <\/em>to be overturned, nearly every state in the South enacted an extreme abortion ban.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alabama<\/a>: \u201cAbortions became almost entirely illegal in Alabama on June 24. A 2019 state abortion ban took effect making it a felony to perform an abortion at any stage of pregnancy, with no exceptions for pregnancies caused by rape or incest.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arkansas<\/a>: \u201cArkansas bans nearly all abortions after Roe v. Wade overturned\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Georgia<\/a>: \u201cGeorgia abortion ban remains in effect after state Supreme Court ruling\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kentucky<\/a>: \u201cAbortion is banned in almost all circumstances.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Louisiana<\/a>: \u201cLouisiana abortion ban preserved after lawmakers kill bill to call public vote\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Women across the South will lose critical access to reproductive care because of Florida\u2019s extreme abortion ban.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 19th<\/a>: <\/strong>\u201cFlorida\u2019s new restrictions will chip away at the little abortion access left in the South\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Capital B<\/a>: \u201cSince the U.S. Supreme Court overturned 1973\u2019s Roe v. Wade decision last summer, access to abortion in the South has become increasingly limited. It\u2019s a region where many of the country\u2019s strictest abortion laws have taken hold, largely pushed by Republican lawmakers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Associated Press<\/a>: \u201c\u2018A six-week ban is a really substantial shock to practical abortion access across the South,\u2019 said Caitlin Myers, an economics professor at Middlebury College in Vermont who studies abortion access.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNN<\/a>: \u201cIf Florida\u2019s high court rules to restrict abortion access there, it would affect more than a third of abortions in the South and nearly 1 in 10 nationwide.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump not only brags about overturning <\/strong>Roe v. Wade <\/em><\/strong>\u2014<\/strong> <\/em><\/strong>he is proudly taking credit for extreme abortions bans throughout the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump<\/a>: \u201cFor 54 years they were trying to get <\/strong>Roe v. Wade<\/em><\/strong><\/a> terminated, and I did it, and I\u2019m proud to have done it. \u2026 Nobody else was going to get that done but me<\/strong>, and we did it, and we did something that was a miracle.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump<\/a>: \u201cAfter 50 years of failure, with nobody coming even close, I was able to kill <\/strong>Roe v. Wade<\/em><\/strong>, much to the \u2018shock\u2019 of everyone \u2026 Without me there would be no 6 weeks, 10 weeks, 15 weeks, or whatever is finally agreed to.<\/strong> Without me the pro Life movement would have just kept losing. On Monday, his team began running new Facebook video ads targeting voters in Iowa, referring to Trump as \u2018THE MOST Pro-Life President in history.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
