From doubling down on banning abortion to threats against our democracy, Trump\u2019s MAGA GOP has gone to the dogs. With the far-right and out-of-touch agenda they\u2019re running on, Trump and his group of extreme MAGA cronies won\u2019t have a shot at the ballot box this November.\u201d

Donald Trump and his MAGA minions are gathering at Mar-a-Lago for a meeting of the most far-right, extreme members of the Republican Party. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNBC<\/a>: \u201cRepublican Sens. Marco Rubio of Florida, J.D. Vance of Ohio and Tim Scott of South Carolina are all \u2018special guests.\u2019 So is North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, another reported short-lister. South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, fresh off a dog shooting scandal, is also expected.<\/strong> So is New York Rep. Elise Stefanik, one of Trump\u2019s fiercest defenders in Congress.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump and his retreat buddies are anti-choice extremists, so it\u2019s fitting for them to gather in Florida only days after an extreme abortion ban took effect, <\/strong>all thanks to Trump. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interviewer<\/a>: \u201cAre you comfortable if states decide to punish women who access abortions after the procedure is banned?\u201d […]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump: \u201cThe states are going to say. It\u2019s irrelevant whether I\u2019m comfortable or not. It’s totally irrelevant, because the states are going to make those decisions.<\/strong>\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Politico<\/a>: \u201cRepublican Florida Sen. Marco Rubio <\/strong>is co-sponsoring a bill that would ban abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy nationwide\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington Examiner<\/a>: \u201cConference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik<\/strong> (R-NY) signaled on Tuesday that congressional Republicans will begin the process of introducing a 15-week federal abortion ban.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump and his group of extremists are doubling down on an anti-choice agenda that the majority of Americans reject. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigator Research<\/a>: \u201cLarge majorities say reproductive care like birth control pills and IVF should be made easier to access, including majorities of Republicans.<\/strong> \u2026 Americans across party lines also say access to fertility planning like IVF should be easier to access, including 72 percent of Democrats, 59 percent of independents, and 53 percent of Republicans.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

USA Today<\/a>: \u201cAmericans overwhelmingly oppose the next goal of many anti-abortion activists, to enact a federal law banning abortion nationwide. By 80%-14%, those surveyed opposed that idea, including 65% of Republicans and 83% of independents.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Axios<\/a>: \u201cMost Americans support abortion access one year after Roe v. Wade: poll\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNN<\/a>: \u201cA 64% majority of US adults say they disapprove of last year\u2019s Supreme Court ruling that women do not have a constitutional right to an abortion, with half strongly disapproving \u2013 an assessment that\u2019s almost entirely unchanged from CNN\u2019s poll last July in the immediate wake of the decision.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And let\u2019s not forget that this group of extremists has fallen in line to defend Trump\u2019s unpopular conspiracy theories about the 2020 election (which he lost by over 7 million votes) and led to the attack on the Capitol on January 6. <\/strong>
<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

New York Times<\/a>: \u201cGov. Kristi Noem<\/strong> of South Dakota, a potential vice-presidential pick for former President Donald J. Trump, refused to say on Sunday whether she would have certified the 2020 election if she had been in Vice President Mike Pence\u2019s position.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

MSNBC<\/a>: \u201cGOP\u2019s JD Vance<\/strong> is \u2018skeptical\u2019 Mike Pence was in danger on Jan. 6\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNN<\/a>: \u201cElise Stefanik<\/strong> echoes Trump when asked about January 6 prisoners three years on\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Politico<\/a>: \u201cBurgum<\/strong> dodges question on Pence’s actions on Jan. 6\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Associated Press<\/a>: \u201cTrump VP contender Tim Scott<\/strong> declines to discuss vice president’s role in certifying election\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hill<\/a>: \u201cJust over two-thirds of registered voters in a new poll said they do not believe that those who participated in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot should be pardoned, an idea that has been floated by former President Trump.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hill<\/a>: \u201cMore than half of all voters believe former President Trump will act like a dictator if reelected to office, according to a new poll.<\/strong> The Harvard CAPS-Harris poll found that 56 percent of those surveyed at least somewhat agree that Trump \u2026 will act like a dictator if given a second term, including almost 40 percent who strongly agree.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quinnipiac<\/a>: \u201cA majority of voters (53 percent) say they are concerned by a recent comment former President Donald Trump made saying he wants to be a dictator for one day if he wins the 2024 presidential election.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

YouGov<\/a>: \u201cMost Americans are supportive of democracy and think dictatorship would be bad for the United States. \u2026 Only 4% of Americans say it would be a good thing for the U.S. to have a dictator in charge<\/strong>, while 80% disagree. That includes 89% of 2020 Biden voters and 87% of 2020 Trump voters.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
