With <\/em>news<\/em><\/a> of convicted fraudster Billy McFarland working with the convicted felon Donald Trump\u2019s campaign, <\/em>DNC Rapid Response Director Alex Floyd released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere is nothing more on brand for a convicted felon like Donald Trump than recruiting another convicted felon to join his campaign just in time for the Republican National Convention, which is shaping up to be just as much of a dumpster fire as Fyre Fest. Billy McFarland is joining a long list of fraudsters working for Trump\u2019s campaign to rip off the American people \u2013 so while Trump wants to disparage the beautiful city of Milwaukee and lie about his law and order agenda, next week he\u2019ll be the one responsible for flooding the city with convicted con artists and convicts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NEW: Trump\u2019s campaign has recruited convicted fraudster Billy McFarland to help his campaign after Trump\u2019s own Justice Department found him guilty of numerous felonies.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rolling Stone<\/a>: \u201cA source close to Detroit rapper Icewear Vezzo tells Rolling Stone that McFarland reached out to the rapper\u2019s camp and connected him with Trump ahead of the presidential hopeful\u2019s visit to the Motor City. McFarland previously told media personality Angela Yee that he helped link Brooklyn rappers Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow to Trump, which resulted in their appearance at a May campaign rally in The Bronx.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSo far, McFarland has helped connect rappers with Trump at least twice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a fascinating turn of events: Fyre Festival was such an infamous, unmitigated disaster \u2014 full of chaos and unfulfilled hype \u2014 that the term \u2018Fyre Fest\u2019 quickly entered the pop-cultural lexicon as being synonymous with mayhem and catastrophe. Trump\u2019s Justice Department prosecuted McFarland, and in October 2018, he was sentenced to six years in federal prison on two counts of wire fraud.
