As anti-choice extremist JD Vance desperately tries to <\/em>cover<\/em><\/a> for the Trump-Vance ticket\u2019s anti-choice, anti-freedom agenda, <\/em>DNC Spokesperson Aida Ross released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDonald Trump said himself there\u2019s a \u2018vital role for the federal government\u2019 in banning abortion, and then proudly chose JD Vance as his running mate \u2014 a man who has repeatedly supported national abortion bans and even admitted he wants abortion to be \u2018illegal nationally.\u2019 If given the chance, Trump and Vance will enact their dangerous Project 2025 agenda to ban abortion nationwide with or without Congress, threaten access to IVF and contraception, and strip away our fundamental rights. Nothing Trump or Vance says changes the truth that they have been backing an extreme anti-choice agenda, and the American people won\u2019t stand for their cruel attacks on our basic freedoms.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hill<\/a>: \u201cVance has a strong anti-abortion record and was given an A+ ranking by Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, a prominent anti-abortion group. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe campaigned against Ohio\u2019s 2023 ballot measure that guaranteed the right to abortion, and previously said he\u2019d vote for a nationwide abortion ban at 15 weeks.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDuring his campaign for Senate, Vance applauded the overturning of Roe v. Wade and supported Texas\u2019s ban on abortion, which does not allow exceptions other than cases where the mother\u2019s life is at risk. <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2018Two wrongs don\u2019t make a right,\u2019 he said in 2021 when asked whether abortion laws should allow for exceptions for rape and incest.\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
