In response to <\/em>new polling<\/em><\/a> on Americans learning more about and disliking Donald Trump and JD Vance\u2019s extreme Project 2025 agenda, <\/em>DNC Rapid Response Director Alex Floyd released the following statement:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe American people are seeing Donald Trump and JD Vance\u2019s extreme Project 2025 agenda exactly for what it is: a deeply unpopular MAGA blueprint to ban abortion nationwide with or without Congress, gut our system of checks and balances, and rig the economy for billionaires at the expense of the middle class. Project 2025 is undeniably a product of Trump and Vance\u2019s ultra-MAGA extremism \u2013 and Americans won\u2019t be fooled by their desperate attempts to cover their deep ties to this out-of-touch agenda. Voters are fired up to reject the Trump-Vance ticket\u2019s dangerous Project 2025 agenda this November because they understand our freedoms and our democracy are on the line.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NEW: Americans are learning more and more about the Trump-Vance ticket\u2019s extreme and unpopular Project 2025 agenda \u2013 and rejecting this dangerous and out-of-touch MAGA blueprint.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigator Research<\/a>: \u201cProject 2025 Has Become Significantly More Unfavorable Since Trump Attempted to Distance Himself From the Plan\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cProject 2025 has seen a significant increase in both awareness and unfavorability since our last survey in June. 54 percent of Americans report being familiar with Project 2025\u2026 Among those familiar with the Project 2025, just 11 percent view it favorably, while 43 percent view it unfavorably.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The more the American people learn about Trump\u2019s Project 2025 agenda, the more they dislike it. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigator Research<\/a>: \u201cAmericans oppose all the key elements in Project 2025, with the greatest concerns around health care, worker\u2019s rights, and dismantling federal programs. <\/strong>Over four in five Americans oppose an array of policies proposed in Project 2025 such as \u2018allowing employers to stop paying hourly workers overtime\u2019 \u2026 Additionally, four in five oppose \u2018allowing the government to monitor people\u2019s pregnancies to potentially prosecute them if they miscarry.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAmericans\u2019 overall opposition to Project 2025 increases after reading about its specific policy goals.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThree in five Americans say Project 2025 would benefit the wealthiest Americans, CEOs, and corporations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FACT: Project 2025 is \u201cundeniably a Trump-driven operation.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Axios<\/a>: \u201cThis is undeniably a Trump-driven operation.<\/strong> The biggest tell: Johnny McEntee \u2014 one of Trump’s closest White House aides, and his most fervent internal loyalty enforcer \u2014 is a senior adviser to Project 2025. One of the most powerful architects is Stephen Miller, a top West Wing adviser for the Trump administration.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Politico<\/a>: \u201cMany of the authors of the blueprint are former Trump officials, and the Heritage Foundation has spent the past year-plus recruiting people to implement the plans within the administration<\/strong>, Scott said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2018So they don\u2019t just have a long, sprawling policy document,\u2019 he said, \u2018they also have a growing list of staff who are being tested to see if they are loyal to Trump and if they are willing to administer this in his potential administration.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhile groups like Heritage have put forward conservative policy proposals in the past, Scott said Project 2025 is distinct in that it\u2019s so comprehensive and far-reaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2018It has so many groups contributing to it. It\u2019s the whole conservative policy movement gathered together,\u2019<\/strong> he said.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Week<\/a>: \u201cMany of Trump\u2019s indicated plans for a second term fall in line with the Project 2025 outline.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

New York Times<\/a>: \u201cRoberts told me that he views Heritage\u2019s role today as \u2018institutionalizing Trumpism.\u2019 <\/strong>This includes leading Project 2025, a transition blueprint that outlines a plan to consolidate power in the executive branch, dismantle federal agencies and recruit and vet government employees to free the next Republican president from a system that Roberts views as stacked against conservative power. The lesson of Trump\u2019s first year in office, Roberts told me, is that \u2018the Trump administration \u2026 simply got a slow start. And Heritage and our allies in Project 2025 believe that must never be repeated.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

FACT: JD Vance has deep ties to Project 2025 and has praised the extreme MAGA blueprint as containing \u201cgood ideas.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gram Slattery, Reuters<\/a>: \u201cVance is very close to Heritage and even wrote the forward for a book from the think tank\u2019s president. Project 2025 is of course organized by Heritage.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vox<\/a>: \u201cKevin Roberts, the president of the right-wing Heritage Foundation and the driving force behind Project 2025, told Ward that \u2018[Vance] is absolutely going to be one of the leaders \u2014 if not the leader \u2014 of our movement.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
