\u201cJD Vance lauded the Project 2025 architect\u2019s new book as a \u2018bold new vision for the future of conservatism,\u2019 saying that \u2018it\u2019s time to circle the wagons and load the muskets\u2019 and calling his extreme ideas an \u2018essential weapon.\u2019 This is the kind of dangerous rhetoric that we’ve been hearing from Vance for years, so it\u2019s no wonder Project 2025 was \u2018really rooting\u2019 for Vance to join Trump\u2019s losing ticket.” The truth is the more the American people learn about the Trump-Vance ticket\u2019s extreme Project 2025 agenda, the more ready they are to reject it in November.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs Trump desperately tries to separate his campaign from Project 2025, users on X have noted one big problem: J.D. Vance wrote the foreword to a forthcoming book by the plan\u2019s lead author, Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOn the Amazon product page, the promotional material for the book, titled Dawn\u2019s Early Light, highlights Roberts\u2019s role in composing Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation proposal for a conservative overhaul of the federal government.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe product page also includes a favorable review from Vance. \u2018Never before has a figure with Roberts\u2019s depth and stature within the American Right tried to articulate a genuinely new future for conservatism,\u2019 the review says. \u2018We are now all realizing that it\u2019s time to circle the wagons and load the muskets. In the fights that lay ahead, these ideas are an essential weapon.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKevin Roberts, the president of the Heritage Foundation, is talking up revolution and the prospect of \u2018bloodshed\u2019 in the wake of the Supreme Court\u2019s decision placing the president outside the reach of criminal law\u2026 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLater in the broadcast, Roberts predicted that his \u2018second revolution\u2019 would be complete by 2050, and that it would coincide with a new \u2018great awakening\u2019 that would bring America to God \u2014 underscoring the extent to which Heritage and its Project 2025 is entwined with Christian nationalism. Roberts insisted that \u2018God\u2019s law can, in fact, be a huge influence on the civil laws.\u2019 And he offered a constrained vision of American liberty: \u2018Our definition of \u2018freedom\u2019 is not the freedom to do whatever the heck we want, but the freedom to do what we ought.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Vance joining Trump\u2019s MAGA ticket, it\u2019s even clearer that Project 2025 is \u201cundeniably a Trump-driven operation.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Axios<\/a>: \u201cThis is undeniably a Trump-driven operation.<\/strong> The biggest tell: Johnny McEntee \u2014 one of Trump\u2019s closest White House aides, and his most fervent internal loyalty enforcer \u2014 is a senior adviser to Project 2025. One of the most powerful architects is Stephen Miller, a top West Wing adviser for the Trump administration.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Politico<\/a>: \u201cMany of the authors of the blueprint are former Trump officials, and the Heritage Foundation has spent the past year-plus recruiting people to implement the plans within the administration<\/strong>, Scott said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2018So they don\u2019t just have a long, sprawling policy document,\u2019 he said, \u2018they also have a growing list of staff who are being tested to see if they are loyal to Trump and if they are willing to administer this in his potential administration.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The more the American people learn about Trump\u2019s Project 2025 agenda, the more they dislike it. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigator Research<\/a>: \u201cAmericans oppose all the key elements in Project 2025, with the greatest concerns around health care, worker\u2019s rights, and dismantling federal programs. <\/strong>Over four in five Americans oppose an array of policies proposed in Project 2025 such as \u2018allowing employers to stop paying hourly workers overtime\u2019 \u2026 Additionally, four in five oppose \u2018allowing the government to monitor people\u2019s pregnancies to potentially prosecute them if they miscarry.\u2019 \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
