In response to Donald Trump <\/em>bringing back<\/em><\/a> ultra-MAGA creep Corey Lewandowski into his campaign\u2019s senior leadership team, <\/em>DNC Rapid Response Director Alex Floyd released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDonald Trump loves to double down on a losing strategy. Trump is surrounding himself with people who share his values \u2013 namely crooks, convicts, and creeps \u2013 so it\u2019s no surprise that he\u2019s bringing Corey Lewandowski back into the fold, a disgraced lowlife who faced criminal charges for battery against a journalist and a police complaint for sexual assault. The company Trump keeps should tell voters everything they need to know \u2013 that he is entirely unfit for office.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDonald Trump\u2019s campaign is expanding its ranks as he seeks to regain his footing in the presidential campaign, bringing on a handful of top allies \u2014 including former Trump 2016 campaign manager Corey Lewandowski. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLewandowski, who has remained an informal Trump adviser since his first campaign, is being brought on to advise the campaign\u2019s senior leadership team\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLewandowski has a controversial history in GOP politics. He was removed from a top post with a pro-Trump super PAC in 2021. Lewandowski at the time was accused by a top Trump donor\u2019s wife, Trashelle Odom, of making unwanted sexual advances towards her while at a Las Vegas charity dinner. He was later charged with a misdemeanor, but entered an agreement with prosecutors to have the charge dismissed in exchange for completing impulse control counseling, community service and paying a fine.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Politico<\/a>: \u201cLewandowski was also charged with battery in 2016 after yanking the arm of a reporter, Michelle Fields, at a Trump campaign event. The charges were later dropped, but Lewandowski, who at the time was serving as Trump\u2019s campaign manager, claimed the incident never happened before video emerged confirming that it did.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lewandowski was previously <\/strong>tapped<\/strong><\/a> by Trump\u2019s campaign to help run the Republican National Convention.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
