In case you missed it: Donald Trump\u2019s bizarre tirade about the Democratic National Convention got cut off by Fox News; Trump said he has \u201cno regrets\u201d about overturning Roe v. Wade<\/em>; Trump went on a five-minute rant when asked about his ties to Project 2025; Trump praised Project 2025 author and family separation policy architect Tom Homan as an \u201cincredible, incredible patriot\u201d; JD Vance lied about the border bill that he helped Trump kill; and new reporting revealed that Vance defended a white nationalist in a speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donald Trump knows the Democratic National Convention was a smashing success that highlighted the Harris-Walz ticket\u2019s vision for the future \u2013 so he went on a tirade so unhinged that he got cut off by Fox News.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump said he has \u201cno regrets\u201d about overturning <\/strong>Roe v. Wade<\/em><\/strong> and paving the way for cruel abortion bans across the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2018People are very happy about it,\u2019 Trump said in an interview with CBS News. \u2018No regrets, no. I wouldn\u2019t have regrets. I did something most people felt was undoable.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnti-abortion activists, working with former Trump administration officials, have been laying the groundwork for the next Republican administration to apply the Comstock Act to prevent the mailing of any abortion drugs and materials, effectively banning all abortions without needing Congress to act.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When confronted about his deep ties to Project 2025, Trump went on a \u201cbonkers\u201d rant.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDonald Trump went on an absurdly long and winding tirade Thursday when asked to respond to Tim Walz\u2019s speech at the Democratic National Convention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDuring a morning appearance on Fox & Friends, Trump was asked to respond to the Democratic vice presidential nominee\u2019s speech linking Trump to Project 2025, which has been proven time and time again.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen asked to respond to Walz, Trump took off on a winding rant that touched on a little bit of everything.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump praised Tom Homan, Project 2025 author and architect of his cruel family separation policy, as an \u201cincredible, incredible patriot.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump<\/a>: \u201cThe best people. I was listening to people like Tom Homan, who is, you know, just an incredible, incredible patriot. Tough, smart, gets it, good man, but he\u2019s tough. I\u2019ve been listening to all these people; they\u2019ve been friends of mine for a long time. They know it better than anybody.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNN<\/a>: \u201cProject 2025\u2019s proposals for reforming the country\u2019s immigration laws appear heavily influenced by those who helped execute Trump\u2019s early enforcement measures. Former acting US Customs and Border Protection chief Mark Morgan and former Immigration and Customs Enforcement chief Tom Homan \u2013 the faces of Trump\u2019s polarizing policies \u2013 contributed to the project, as did Kathy Nuebel Kovarik, one of the policy advisers pushing to end certain immigrant protections behind the scenes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JD Vance lied about the toughest, fairest bipartisan border bill in decades \u2013 the one that he helped Trump kill.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vance<\/a>: \u201cYeah, ma\u2019am, I appreciate that question, and for those of you couldn\u2019t heard it: how do we respond to Democrats who say that they tried to pass a border security bill? \u201cIn a December 2023 speech, JD Vance defended a notorious white nationalist convicted over 2016 election disinformation, canvassed the possibility of breaking up tech companies, attacked diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts and talked about a social media \u2018censorship regime\u2019 that \u2018came from the deep state on some level.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe senator\u2019s speech was given at the launch of a \u2018counterrevolutionary\u2019 book \u2013 praised by the now Republican vice-presidential candidate as \u2018great\u2019 \u2013 which was edited and mostly written by employees of the far-right Claremont Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
