In response to (yet another) bizarre <\/em>interview<\/em><\/a> with JD Vance, <\/em>DNC Spokesperson Aida Ross released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEvery time JD Vance opens his mouth, he insults millions of Americans, spews unhinged conspiracy theories, and his approval rating plummets to new lows. Vance is just like Trump \u2013 they can\u2019t fathom caring about anyone but themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LISTEN: JD Vance attacked Americans without kids as \u201ctrying to brainwash the minds of our children.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vance<\/a>: \u201cSo many of the leaders of the left, and I hate to be so personal about this, but they’re people without kids trying to brainwash the minds of our children … Randi Weingarten … She doesn’t have a single child. If she wants to brainwash and destroy the minds of children, she should have some of her own and leave ours the hell alone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s a snapshot of some of Vance\u2019s weirdest, creepiest, and most dangerous attacks on women:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vance<\/a>, when asked if he regrets making his \u201cchildless cat lady\u201d comments: \u201cI regret, certainly, that a lot of people took it the wrong way\u2026I have a lot of regrets\u2026but making a joke three years ago is not in the top ten of the list.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNN<\/a>: \u201cJD Vance said in 2022 he \u2018would like abortion to be illegal nationally\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDuring a podcast interview in January 2022, then-candidate JD Vance said he \u2018certainly would like abortion to be illegal nationally\u2019 and was \u2018sympathetic\u2019 to the view that a national ban was necessary to stop women from traveling across states to obtain an abortion.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daily Beast<\/a>: \u201cJ.D. Vance suggested he would support prohibiting abortion even in cases of rape and incest\u2014and dismissed those catalysts as \u2018inconvenient.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Letter Signed by Vance and Other Members of Congress<\/a>: \u201cAbortion is not health care\u2014it is a brutal act that destroys the life of an unborn child and hurts women. Congress did not authorize HHS to extend special provisions for abortion such as these under the guise of \u2018health care.\u2019 The Proposed Rule unlawfully thwarts the enforcement of compassionate laws protecting unborn children and their mothers, and directs health care providers to defy lawful court orders and search warrants.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vice<\/a>: \u201cJD Vance Suggests People in \u2018Violent\u2019 Marriages Shouldn\u2019t Get Divorced\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vance<\/a>: \u201cIt makes [his son] a much better human being, to have exposure to his grandparents. And the evidence on this, by the way, is super clear.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interviewer: \u201cThat\u2019s the whole purpose of the postmenopausal female, in theory.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vance: \u201cYes.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pat Rynard, Courier Newsroom<\/a>: \u201cJD Vance says Americans without children should \u2018face the consequences<\/strong> and the reality\u2019 and not get \u2018nearly the same voice\u2019 in democracy\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Federalist<\/a>: \u201cJ.D. Vance, a U.S. Senate candidate from Ohio, called out the \u2018childless left\u2019 whom he said have \u2018no physical commitment to the future of this country\u2019 in a fiery speech given to the Intercollegiate Studies Institute\u2019s conference on the Future of American Political Economy\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2018Why is this just a normal fact of \u2026  life, for the leaders of our country to be people who don\u2019t have a personal and direct stake in it via their own offspring?\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2018The Democrats are talking about giving the vote to 16-year-olds,\u2019 Vance noted. \u2018Let\u2019s do this instead. Let\u2019s give votes to all children in this country, but let\u2019s give control over those votes to the parents of the children<\/strong>.\u2019 He continued, asking, \u2018Doesn\u2019t this mean that nonparents don\u2019t have as much of a voice as parents? Doesn\u2019t this mean that parents get a bigger say in how democracy functions?\u2019 He answered with a simple \u2018yes\u2019 after saying \u2018the Atlantic and the Washington Post and all the usual suspects\u2019 would criticize him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
