During his speech at the Detroit Economic Club this afternoon, Donald Trump insulted<\/a> the city of Detroit, saying that the \u201cwhole country will end up being like Detroit\u201d and that attendees would \u201chave a mess on [their] hands\u201d if Vice President Kamala Harris wins the presidency. This isn\u2019t the first time he\u2019s insulted the city, either \u2013 in 2020, Trump said that living in Detroit was \u201clike living in hell.<\/a>\u201d His latest comments are a continuation of a pattern of Trump attacking other cities across the country, including when he called Milwaukee, WI a \u201chorrible city<\/a>\u201d earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Voters in Detroit don\u2019t take Trump\u2019s attacks lightly. They\u2019ve already overwhelmingly<\/a> rejected him once, and they\u2019ll do it once more in November \u2013 along with the rest of Michigan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DNC Spokesperson Stephanie Justice<\/strong> released the following statement:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMichiganders have had enough of Donald Trump bad mouthing and attacking them at every turn \u2013 especially after he already let a Detroit-area auto plant close on his watch and is making clear<\/a> he\u2019d let it happen all over again if he gets a chance.
