In response to RNC in-house conspiracy theorist and senior counsel Christina Bobb attacking American citizens as \u201cfilth\u201d and advocating for a \u201ccleansing,\u201d <\/em>DNC Rapid Response Director Alex Floyd released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cChristina Bobb spent the aftermath of the 2020 election parroting Donald Trump\u2019s baseless lies about the results, and now four years later she\u2019s echoing Trump\u2019s disgusting rhetoric against American citizens, calling for a \u2018cleansing\u2019 to \u2018clean out the filth\u2019 just days after Trump called Americans \u2018the enemy from within\u2019 and threatened to turn the U.S. military on our own people. This kind of vile, repulsive language has no place in our politics \u2013 but it\u2019s become par for the course for Trump and his extreme election denier lackeys who are spending the final weeks of the 2024 campaign pushing dangerous attacks against our democracy and the rule of law.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NEW: RNC senior counsel Christina Bobb is attacking American citizens as \u201cfilth\u201d and calling for a \u201ccleansing,\u201d after Trump has spent the week attacking Americans as \u201cthe enemy from within\u201d and threatening to use the military against American citizens.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bobb<\/a>: \u201cI think there’s a lot of weird, weird things going on behind the scenes that we probably can’t see. I hope they all break the surface so that we just get this cleansing in our nation and we can clean out the filth<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump<\/a>: \u201cI think the bigger problem is the enemy from within\u2026 totally destroying our country<\/strong>\u2026 [I]n terms of Election Day, I think the bigger problem are the people from within. <\/strong>We have some very bad people. We have some sick people, radical left lunatics. And I think they\u2019re the big– and it should be very easily handled by, if necessary, by [the] National Guard, or if really necessary, by the military, because they can\u2019t let that happen.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bobb has already been indicted for her role in the 2020 election fake elector scheme and was already a self-described \u201cconspiracy theorist\u201d and a prominent election denier.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Republic<\/a>: \u201cThe Republican National Committee\u2019s senior counsel for election integrity, Christina Bobb, was arraigned Tuesday at a Maricopa County, Arizona, courthouse, pleading not guilty to charges that she was part of a plan to overturn the 2020 presidential election and keep Donald Trump in the White House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBobb was one of 11 people\u2014two Trump aides and nine Arizona Republicans\u2014who were arraigned, including Trump\u2019s former lawyer Rudolph Giuliani, who was finally served Friday after weeks evading and mocking the Arizona attorney general.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington Post<\/a>: \u201cLaCivita is installing Christina Bobb \u2014 a former OAN reporter who has espoused false claims that the 2020 election was stolen<\/strong> \u2014 as senior counsel for election integrity. Bobb is the author of a book called \u2018Stealing Your Vote: The Inside Story of the 2020 Election and What It Means for 2024\u2019 and promoted the audit of Arizona elections.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNN<\/a>: \u201c<\/strong>[Bobb] also played a key role in the Trump campaign\u2019s fake electors scheme <\/strong>after he lost the 2020 election, working closely with Trump advisers to organize the plan in seven battleground states. The scheme formed the basis of parts of Smith\u2019s election subversion indictment against the former president, which says Trump and his allies created \u2018fraudulent slates of presidential electors to obstruct the certification proceeding\u2019 in Congress on January 6, 2021, and \u2018disenfranchise millions of voters.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNN<\/a>: \u201cBobb was also a correspondent during the 2020 election for the fringe pro-Trump network OAN, where she promoted false claims that the election was rigged. <\/strong>The voting technology company Dominion sued Bobb and OAN for defamation in 2021. Some of her on-air segments were also referenced in a separate defamation case<\/strong> against OAN filed by Smartmatic, another aggrieved voting company. OAN and Bobb have denied wrongdoing in these civil cases.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New York Times<\/a>: \u201cA self-described conspiracy theorist and election denier,<\/strong> Ms. Bobb will take on a role overseeing Republican election integrity efforts \u2014 after years of aggressively promoting false claims about the 2020 election. Her appointment reflects the ascendant role of election deniers in Republican leadership and in Mr. Trump\u2019s presidential campaign.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Media Matters<\/a>: \u201cWithin a two-week span, Christina Bobb, an attorney for former President Donald Trump, has gone on multiple online shows affiliated with the QAnon conspiracy theory<\/strong> movement to promote her new book about supposed election fraud. During her appearances, Bobb has discussed being part of Trump\u2019s 2024 presidential campaign, pushed false claims of election fraud, and floated new conspiracy theories, while calling herself \u2018a conspiracy theorist.<\/strong>\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBobb, who joined Trump\u2019s legal team last year, was previously an anchor for the far-right One America News Network. While at OAN, Bobb was a prolific spreader of false claims that the 2020 presidential election was rigged<\/strong>, and she financially supported the sham \u2018audit\u2019 of ballots cast in 2020 in Maricopa County, Arizona.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
