Today, the DNC released a <\/em>new ad<\/em><\/a> reminding voters Jill Stein is an unapologetic spoiler for Donald Trump. With the support of Trump, his former personal lawyer Jay Sekulow, MAGA allies, and former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke, Stein could help hand the 2024 election to Trump \u2014 just like she and Vladimir Putin did in 2016. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last week, <\/em>David Duke endorsed Stein<\/em><\/a> \u2014 saying he carefully considered what was \u201cgood for white people, Europeans\u201d when deciding who to endorse and called it \u201cone of most important statements that [he has] ever made politically.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ad, \u201c<\/em>Company They Keep<\/em><\/a>,\u201d will run in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin and on cable nationwide. The DNC is unrelenting in reminding voters that Stein is a spoiler candidate. This newest ad follows the successful launch of \u201c<\/em>Crucial<\/em><\/a>,\u201d the DNC\u2019s first television spot calling out Stein. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

DNC Senior Advisor Mary Beth Cahill released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJill Stein, David Duke, and Vladimir Putin may make odd bedfellows, but they all have one common goal \u2014 to beat Vice President Harris and put Donald Trump back in the White House. We all know Stein helped hand Trump the White House in 2016. She had no regrets, and she wants to do it again. This time, Trump and his MAGA allies are openly boosting her. Don\u2019t be played for a fool by a former KKK grand wizard and a Russian dictator \u2014 a vote for Stein is a vote for Trump.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like Jill Stein \u2014 Stein isn’t sorry about swinging the 2016 election to Trump, and now she\u2019s being helped by MAGA allies and Trump’s former lawyer. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Long-time Klan leader David Duke endorsed her. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And like Trump, she\u2019s cozied up to Vladimir Putin.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jill Stein. Look at her friends because a vote for Stein is a vote for Trump. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just ask Putin. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

BACKGROUND <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2016, Jill Stein helped Donald Trump win the election. She won 132,000 votes in the decisive swing states \u2014 Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania \u2014 while Trump’s margin of victory was just 77,000 votes in those same states. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When confronted about being a spoiler for Trump, Stein remained unapologetic<\/a> and said she doesn\u2019t have second thoughts. She has said it\u2019s a \u201cbadge of honor<\/a>\u201d to be blamed for Trump\u2019s 2016 victory and considers it a \u201cgreat honor<\/a>\u201d to be compared to Ralph Nader and his spoiler campaign. Her campaign surrogates admit she has no path to victory<\/a> and that their top priority is stopping Kamala Harris<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reporting from The Wall Street Journal<\/em><\/a> and Salon<\/em><\/a> revealed how the Stein campaign used a Republican consulting firm to help her get on the ballot, and in a recent court case in Nevada, Stein was represented by Trump\u2019s former personal attorney, Jay Sekulow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stein has had troubling ties to Vladimir Putin<\/a> and her spoiler campaign benefitted from a Russian disinformation campaign in 2016. A Senate Intelligence Committee<\/a> report found that Russian social media efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election included messaging in support of Stein. Additionally, the Mueller Report<\/a> found that the Kremlin\u2019s Internet Research Agency used social media, including paid Facebook ads, to promote Stein\u2019s candidacy.On June 22, 2024, Trump held a rally in Philadelphia, PA<\/a> where he said \u201cJill Stein, I like her very much.
