Ahead of Donald Trump\u2019s rally today with Turning Point USA, <\/em>DNC Rapid Response Director Alex Floyd released the following statement:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDonald Trump is spending the closing days of the campaign once again rallying with extreme, election-denying conspiracy theorists who have repeatedly put Trump\u2019s selfish ego over our democracy and the American people. After praising January 6 as \u2018a day of love,\u2019 Trump is cozying up to MAGA extremists whose records include pushing election lies, busing people to the insurrection, and downplaying attacks on the Capitol and law enforcement. Voters in Georgia and across the country have had enough \u2014 they know Trump will put our democracy on the line, and will reject him in November just like they did four years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donald Trump is campaigning with extreme election-denying conspiracy theorists whose records include pushing lies about the 2020 election, whitewashing the violence on January 6, and refusing to commit to accepting this election\u2019s results.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNBC<\/a>: \u201c[Charlie] Kirk has continued to parrot the president\u2019s attacks on the election, falsely claiming Biden\u2019s victory was fraudulent.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2018I will say it very bluntly. This election was stolen from President Trump.<\/strong> And the changes to the election, to the ballot questions, to the voter registration, to the access problems in these states\u2019 Kirk said in December.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daily Beast<\/a>: \u201cFollowing the events of Jan 6., Kirk deleted a tweet in which he touted that \u201880-plus buses full of patriots\u2019 were sent to Washington, D.C., on Turning Point USA\u2019s dime.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Southern Poverty Law Center<\/a>: \u201cTwo days before Jan. 6, 2021, [Tucker] Carlson told his audience that the 2020 election was \u2018unfair\u2019 and had been rigged against then-President Trump.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tucker Carlson<\/a>: \u201cIt’s very clear January 6th was essentially what it appeared to be: Thousands of ordinary American citizens, voters \u2013 people who believe in our democracy far more fervently than Liz Cheney ever has \u2013 came to Washington because they sincerely believed democracy had been thwarted. They believed the presidential election was unfair \u2013 and they have a right to believe that. And by the way, in many ways, they were correct. The presidential election was unfair. And you don\u2019t have to get into anything about voting machines to believe that.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carlson<\/a>: \u201cThe overwhelming majority\u2026 were peaceful. They were orderly and meek. These were not insurrectionists. They were sightseers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Newsweek<\/a>: \u201cRepublican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has shared a video to Twitter that argues that the 2020 presidential election was stolen through a combination of the COVID-19 pandemic and voter fraud.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGreene, who was recently appointed to serve on the powerful House of Representatives\u2019 Oversight Committee, shared the video entitled \u2018How to steal an election\u2019 on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn just over a minute, a narrator alleges a vast conspiracy to steal the 2020 presidential election from Donald Trump involving the media, \u2018Big Tech,\u2019 the Democratic Party and others, with a particular focus on President Joe Biden.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HuffPost<\/a>: \u201cControversial Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is still convinced the 2020 presidential election was rigged but admits she has no evidence of election fraud.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGreene admitted she had no proof during an interview Friday at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida, but is sticking with her conviction that the presidential vote was rigged, even though she apparently doesn\u2019t dispute the 2020 election results that made her a congresswoman:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2018I proudly objected on Jan. 6,\u2019 Greene said. \u2018I would object again today because I know for a fact there was so much wrong in that election and I believe it was stolen. Do I know how? No, I don\u2019t know how.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laura Coates, CNN<\/a>: \u201cWill you accept the results of the 2024 election regardless of who wins, yes or no?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ben Carson: \u201cI will accept the results if it\u2019s done in a fair and transparent way.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coates: \u201cDo you have reason to doubt that it would be done in a fair and transparent way?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carson: \u201cWell let me put it this way: In the 2020 election, there were a lot of irregularities.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carson<\/a>: \u201cWell, there was plenty of fraud.<\/strong> There\u2019s no question about that. And I think everybody acknowledges that it was fraud. Well, we have people that say, \u2018Yes, there was fraud, but it wasn\u2019t enough fraud.\u2019 You\u2019ll notice that the courts really haven\u2019t looked at the evidence that exists. It\u2019s almost as if they\u2019re afraid to look at the evidence that exists.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People<\/a>: \u201cBen Carson\u2026 demurred when asked whether he would have done what Pence did<\/strong> in a recent Fox News interview. \u2018Well, first off, people should know that Mike Pence spent a lot of time laboring over that decision,\u2019 Carson responded. \u2018I talked to him the night before and he was really torn over what was the appropriate thing to do.\u2019 Carson continued: \u2018I think it would have been appropriate, perhaps, to look at all of the alternative theories seriously because there was significant controversy about what had happened in the election.\u2019\u2026 Asked again if he believed what Pence did was \u2018right or not,\u2019 Carson said, \u2018I think the right thing would have been to try to focus on having a process that is legitimate.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump recently praised the violent January 6 insurrection he rallied as \u201ca day of love,\u201d and has repeatedly promised pardons for January 6 rioters, who he calls \u201chostages\u201d and \u201cpatriots.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donald Trump<\/a>: \u201cAnd I\u2019ll tell you, there was a beauty to it and there was a love to it that I\u2019ve never seen before […] A small group of people went down to the Capitol, and then a lot of strange things happened […] I\u2019m saying that when I saw that tremendous crowd, the largest group I\u2019ve ever spoken to, in front of these beautiful monuments. I thought it was actually a beautiful thing.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump<\/a>: \u201cNothing done wrong at all. Nothing done wrong. […] That was a day of love.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump<\/a>: \u201cJanuary 6, it was the largest crowd I\u2019ve ever spoken to. And they were there proud, they were there with love in their heart. That was an unbelievable\u2014 and it was a beautiful day.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rachel Scott, ABC News<\/a>: \u201c140 police officers were assaulted [on January 6].<\/strong> Their injuries included broken bones, at least one officer lost an eye, one had two cracked ribs, two smashed spinal discs, another had a stroke. Were the people who assaulted those 140 officers, including those I just mentioned, \u2018patriots\u2019 who deserve pardons?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

[Trump refuses to answer]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scott: \u201cBut sir, my question is on those rioters who assaulted officers. Would you pardon those people?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump: \u201cOh absolutely I would. <\/strong>If they\u2019re innocent, I would pardon them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scott: \u201cThey\u2019ve been convicted.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hill<\/a>: \u201cTrump describes imprisoned Jan. 6 rioters as \u2018hostages\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump<\/a>: \u201cThose people were treated very harshly [\u2026] nobody was killed on January 6. But I think that the people on January 6 were treated very unfairly<\/strong> [\u2026] they were there to complain about an election, and you know it\u2019s very interesting, the biggest crowd I\u2019ve ever spoken to.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

TIME<\/a>: \u201cTrump has sought to recast the insurrectionist riot as an act of patriotism. \u2018I call them the J-6 patriots,\u2019 Trump tells TIME. When asked whether he would consider pardoning every one of them, he says: \u2018Yes, absolutely.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump, who is vowing to be a dictator on \u201cday one,\u201d told voters they \u201cwon\u2019t have to vote anymore\u201d if he\u2019s elected president\u2026 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2026 as he continues to push baseless lies about his 2020 loss by over seven million votes, and refuses to commit to accepting this November\u2019s results.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interviewer<\/a>: \u201cThere have been other close races and men have said, \u2018listen, for the betterment of the country, we\u2019re going to move on, we\u2019re going to accept the results of the election.\u2019 Would that have been the right course of action?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
