In response to JD Vance shouting out Mark Robinson, who Donald Trump has praised as an \u201coutstanding person,\u201d<\/em> DNC Rapid Response Director Alex Floyd released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDonald Trump and JD Vance are both cut from the same extreme MAGA cloth as Mark Robinson \u2014 so of course Vance thinks Robinson is a \u2018great Lieutenant Governor\u2019 even after his appalling and un-American behavior. Voters deserve better than a self-described \u2018Nazi\u2019 and a ticket led by a candidate who can\u2019t stop praising Adolf Hitler.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New recordings reveal Trump\u2019s former chief of staff calling him a \u201cfascist\u201d and saying that Trump wanted \u201cthe kind of generals Hitler had.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Atlantic<\/a>: \u201cAs his presidency drew to a close, and in the years since, he has become more and more interested in the advantages of dictatorship, and the absolute control over the military that he believes it would deliver. \u2018I need the kind of generals that Hitler had,\u2019 Trump said in a private conversation in the White House<\/strong>, according to two people who heard him say this. \u2018People who were totally loyal to him, that follow orders.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New York Times<\/a>: \u201c[Kelly] said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law. […]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vance has repeatedly refused to answer for or condemn Mark Robinson\u2019s behavior following bombshell reporting on Robinson\u2019s hateful, extreme rhetoric.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lauren Mayk, WCAU<\/a>: \u201cSome news I wanted to talk about out of North Carolina with Mark Robinson. I\u2019m sure you\u2019ve heard about it. Governor Walz is also in this area, he just mentioned it at a rally this afternoon. I don\u2019t know that you\u2019ve gotten a chance to talk about it, so I wanted to ask you, are you comfortable with Mark Robinson as the Republican nominee for governor in North Carolina?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JD Vance: \u201cWell, look, the allegations are pretty far out there of course, but I know that allegations aren\u2019t necessarily reality,<\/strong> and what I\u2019d say is, it\u2019s ultimately up to Mark Robinson and North Carolina whether he\u2019s going to be their governor and whether he wants to stay in the race. I\u2019ll let them make that decision.\u201d \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
