href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/sahilkapur\/status\/1892789564856570345\">Sahil Kapur<\/a>: \u201c<strong>Chuck Schumer offered an amendment to the Republican budget resolution to prohibit tax cuts for the wealthy if even $1 is cut from Medicaid.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was rejected 49-51.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cDemocrats unanimously voted YES<\/strong>, joined by Collins and Hawley. <strong>Other Republicans voted NO<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a Republicans \u2026 are pushing proposals that could sharply cut funding to the government health insurance program for poor and disabled Americans, as a way to finance President Trump&#8217;s agenda for tax cuts <\/strong>\u2026&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<strong>Since Trump took office, Republicans in Washington have discussed making changes to Medicaid<\/strong>, particularly by requiring that enrollees prove they are working.
