Kalyn Norwood, Hearst<\/a>: \u201cOn the economy, there is reporting that consumer confidence fell for the 4th straight month. What is your message to Americans?<\/strong>\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump: \u201cWell, I know that for the first time in like 50 years, right track, wrong track, we’re on the right track<\/strong>, and I think people see that. And if you look at prices, prices are way down<\/strong> \u2026 We brought eggs down at a level that nobody thought we could get at. \u2026 Eggs are way down. Groceries are down<\/strong> \u2026 Almost everything\u2019s down.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CHASER: \u2026 even as costs are skyrocketing with a potential <\/strong>\u201cserious Trump recession\u201d<\/strong><\/a> on the horizon, and a majority of Americans think that under Trump, the economy and cost of living are on the <\/strong>\u201cwrong track\u201d<\/strong><\/a>: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

NBC4 New York<\/a>: \u201cEven after a recent drop in wholesale costs, retail egg prices remain near historic highs<\/strong>, averaging about $6 per dozen \u2014 roughly double what people paid a year ago. It\u2019s the most Americans have paid for eggs in decades, according to a CNBC analysis of U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data.<\/strong>\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

USDA<\/a>: \u201cEgg prices are predicted to increase 57.6 percent<\/strong> in 2025\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fox Business<\/a>: \u201cHigh beef prices have been weighing on U.S. businesses and consumers.<\/strong> \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBureau of Labor Statistics inflation data measured by the consumer price index (CPI) showed prices for beef and veal were up 2.4% month-over-month<\/strong> and 7.6% year-over-year in February.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CBS News<\/a>: Last month, 62% of Americans said they believed prices had gone up in the weeks prior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fox News<\/a>: \u201c43% are satisfied with how things are going in the country<\/strong>. \u2026  57% are unsatisfied, including 20% of Republicans<\/strong>. \u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSeven in 10 say they expect a recession this year, including<\/strong> majorities of Democrats (93%) and Independents (72%), and half of Republicans (50%)<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reuters\/Ipsos<\/a>: \u201c[A] majority of Americans also believe that the national economy (53%) is off on the wrong track, as is their cost of living (64%).\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Telegraph<\/a>: \u201cEconomists are starting to worry about a serious Trump recession\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
