While Trump\u2019s economy tanks and the odds of a recession<\/a> continue to rise<\/a>, Trump\u2019s plans to scam the American people out of their health care will also cost them tens of billions of dollars. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donald Trump and <\/strong>congressional Republicans\u2019<\/strong><\/a> plans to put Medicaid on the chopping block for <\/strong>79 million<\/strong><\/a> Americans could also slash 1 million jobs nationwide and cost tens of billions of dollars. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Milken Institute of Public Health<\/a>: \u201cNEW REPORT: Federal Medicaid and SNAP Cuts Could Result in One Million Jobs Lost and State GDPs Falling by More than $110 Billion in 2026\u201d<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c[P]otential budget cuts to Medicaid<\/strong> and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program could trigger severe economic consequences across all 50 states and the District of Columbia<\/strong>. If implemented, these combined cuts could lead to one million jobs lost,<\/strong> a $113 billion decline in states\u2019 gross domestic products, and $8.8 billion in lost state and local tax revenue in 2026 alone. \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cImpact of Medicaid Cuts <\/strong>\u2026 State economies are estimated to lose $95 billion<\/strong> in gross domestic products in 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c477,000 healthcare jobs would be eliminated<\/strong>, impacting hospitals, nursing homes, and doctors\u2019 offices, due to reduced Medicaid enrollment and revenue losses for health care providers. Another 411,000 jobs would be lost in other businesses, as losses ripple out through state economies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cState and local tax revenues would drop by $7 billion<\/strong> due to lower business and individual income from job losses, exacerbating fiscal challenges for states.\u201d<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Axios<\/a>: \u201cStates could lose thousands of jobs \u2014 including 10,900 jobs in Arkansas<\/strong> \u2014 and billions of dollars in economic output<\/strong> under potential Medicaid and food aid cuts, a new estimate finds.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Beacon<\/a>: \u201cThe cuts could lead to nearly 30,000 jobs lost across Missouri and Kansas<\/strong> health care systems and food suppliers, a new study found. \u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
