On Trump\u2019s 100th day in office, <\/em>DNC Chair Ken Martin released the following statement:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn 100 days, Donald Trump has achieved the unthinkable: he\u2019s brought America to the brink of implosion. On the world stage, he\u2019s made us into a joke. On the home front, he\u2019s made us weak. All of his promises are empty \u2014 and the American people know it. Ronald Reagan once famously asked Americans, \u2018Are you better off today than you were four years ago?\u2019 Because of Donald Trump, now we must ask, \u2018Are you better off today than you were 100 days ago?\u2019 Unless you\u2019re a billionaire or a right-wing grifter, the answer is a resounding no. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUnder Trump, working families who are just trying to make a fair living and pay their bills are getting screwed. Trump keeps asking us to wait for him to turn everything around \u2014 but recession is this presidency\u2019s ceiling, not its floor. This is a guy who has bankrupted casinos and pulled scam after scam, and now we\u2019re supposed to just trust him that things will magically get better. To all of the American people who have had enough of his bullshit, Democrats are fighting for you \u2014 and you’ll have the chance to tell Trump exactly how you feel about him at the ballot box soon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donald Trump has taken the economy to the <\/strong>\u201cbrink of a crisis\u201d<\/strong><\/a> as prices skyrocket, retirement savings vanish, and Trump\u2019s economic agenda costs working families thousands. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNN<\/a>: \u201cTrump took the US economy to the brink of a crisis in just 100 days\u201d<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDonald Trump spent his first 100 days back in the Oval Office driving an economy that the world envied to the brink of crisis, risking America\u2019s reputation as a financial safe haven and fostering fear among voters who\u2019ve lost confidence in his leadership. \u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut the president deliberately and singlehandedly adopted policies that are almost certain to spike prices even more<\/strong>; that could lead to shortages; and that have CEOs and small businesses dealing with chaos and the possibility of a recession. \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEven if Trump succeeds, his approach almost certainly means higher prices<\/strong> for Americans across the board \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
