While Donald Trump profits off the White House \u201cmore than any other occupant\u201d<\/a> before him, everyday Americans are facing skyrocketing prices on household goods, cars, toys, and more. Trump\u2019s economy is already costing thousands<\/a> of Americans<\/a> their jobs, plummeting a \u201crocky\u201d<\/a> job market, and decimating<\/a> small businesses. With results like that, it\u2019s no surprise that a majority of Americans are opposing<\/a> Trump and his failed agenda. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s a look at the latest ways Trump is raising prices on the American people: <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNN<\/a>: \u201cThese companies will raise prices because of Trump\u2019s tariffs\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWalmart said on April 15 it would increase prices<\/strong> because Trump\u2019s tariffs<\/strong> were \u2018too high,\u2019 particularly when it came to products made in China. \u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOn May 6, toy manufacturing giant Mattel said that it would raise prices due to tariffs.<\/strong> \u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cElectronics retailer Best Buy warned during a March earnings call that \u2018vendors across our entire assortment will pass along some level of tariff costs to retailers, making price increases for American consumers highly likely.\u2019<\/strong> \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLin Tao, CFO of PlayStation maker Sony, said \u2018we may pass on the price\u2019 [to consumers] <\/strong>during an earnings call. \u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHousehold product maker Procter & Gamble, which owns brands like Pampers, Tide and Charmin, said during an earnings call on April 24 it would consider raising prices <\/strong>in some categories and markets. \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cStanley Black & Decker, which owns power tool brands, raised prices by an average of high single-digits because of tariffs. <\/strong>Another round of price increases will come later this year. \u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAdidas said higher costs are likely for products in the US<\/strong> due to Trump\u2019s back-and-forth tariff.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Associated Press<\/a>: \u201cJohn David Rainey, [Walmart\u2019s] chief financial officer, emphasized that prices are going up on many necessities.<\/strong> The price of bananas,<\/strong> imported from Costa Rica, went up to 54 cents per pound from 50 cents <\/strong>per pound, for example. And he thinks that China-made car seats, which currently sell for $350 at Walmart, will likely go up another $100.\u201d<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

USA Today<\/a>: \u201cFord Motor Co. is hiking prices<\/strong> \u2026 becoming one of the first major automakers to adjust sticker prices in response to President Donald Trump\u2019s tariffs.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPrices <\/strong>on the Mustang Mach-E electric SUV, Maverick pickup and Bronco Sport will increase by as much as $2,000 on some models,<\/strong> according to a notice sent to dealers that was reviewed by Reuters.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reuters<\/a>: \u201cExclusive: Subaru of America increases vehicle prices, citing market conditions\u201d<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Subaru price increases will add between $750 and $2,055 to vehicles<\/strong> depending on the model and trim, according to a notice posted on a dealer website.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington Post<\/a>: \u201cYour new sofa could be the first sign tariff inflation is hitting home\u201d<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPrices for furniture and bedding rose more than 7 times faster than overall prices in April<\/strong>, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. PriceStats, an index that tracks the online prices of goods daily, saw the costs of household furnishings and equipment rise by 0.8 percent \u2014 a record amount for April<\/strong> on a seasonally unadjusted basis.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNN<\/a>: \u201cOn Tuesday, S&P Global releases its S&P Global CoreLogic Case-Shiller National Home Price Index for March. Home-price growth in February continued to climb, rising at an annual pace of 3.9%,<\/strong> as lingering housing shortages continued to push up prices.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Axios<\/a>: \u201cVolvo Cars CEO H\u00e5kan Samuelsson told Reuters that the Swedish car company\u2019s customers would have to pay a large part of tariff-related cost<\/strong> increases. \u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNike plans to increase prices starting June 1<\/strong>, according to multiple reports.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Verge<\/a>: \u201cNikon\u2019s cameras are about to get more expensive in the US because of tariffs\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNikon has announced a \u2018necessary price adjustment\u2019 for its products that will come into effect for the US<\/strong> starting on June 23rd, 2025. \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
