Trump\u2019s agenda is driven by uncertainty and chaos, hitting constituents that Trump once <\/em>\u201cpledged to protect.\u201d<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAcross the government, the Trump administration is scrambling to rehire many federal employees dismissed under DOGE\u2019s staff-slashing initiatives after wiping out entire offices, in some cases imperiling key services such as weather forecasting and the drug approval process.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSince Musk left the White House last week, he and Trump have fallen out bitterly, sniping at each other in public over the cost of Trump\u2019s sweeping tax legislation and government subsidies for Musk\u2019s businesses. But even before that, the administration was working to undo some of DOGE\u2019s highest-profile actions. \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe ever-shifting personnel changes are yet another strain on a workforce already weary of Trump-induced uncertainty<\/strong>, said current and former employees, most of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of retaliation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump\u2019s disastrous agenda of mass firings and funding cuts has already hit millions of Americans, including rural communities, veterans, and small businesses. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wall Street Journal<\/a>: \u201c[T]he wide slashing has worsened services Americans receive and hindered remaining staff working on areas like improving healthcare and lowering energy bills. \u2026 In many parts of the country, the Trump administration\u2019s job cuts have hit services and constituencies that Trump pledged to protect.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Axios<\/a>: \u201cDOGE is taking its wrecking ball to the Social Security Administration, <\/strong>the agency responsible for overseeing retirement and disability benefits for 73 million Americans. \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe agency announced last month it seeks to cut about 7,000 employees, or 12% of staff, through voluntary resignations and a reduction-in-force plan due Thursday.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNN<\/a>: \u201cTrump\u2019s Monday order also took aim at \u2018environmental justice\u2019 \u2014 eliminating positions and assessing spending on projects, including those aimed at poor, rural communities.\u201d<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Politico<\/a>: \u201cThose cuts included officials working on Medicare and Medicaid initiatives aimed at improving care for beneficiaries at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation and at the CMS office that oversees Obamacare, as well as officials at the FDA offices that regulate prescription drugs and medical devices.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
