response to Mitch McConnell saying families would \u201cget over\u201d the prospect of having their health care taken away, <\/em><strong><em>DNC Communications Director Rosemary Boeglin released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong>\u201cI hope Republicans can \u2018get over it\u2019 when they lose their seats in the midterms.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SHOT: American families are scared they will lose health care and <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kff.org\/medicaid\/poll-finding\/kff-health-tracking-poll-views-of-the-one-big-beautiful-bill\/\"><strong>overwhelmingly<\/strong><\/a><strong> reject the GOP\u2019s budget to fund another round of tax handouts for their billionaire donors by gutting Medicaid\u2026&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kff.org\/medicaid\/poll-finding\/kff-health-tracking-poll-views-of-the-one-big-beautiful-bill\/\">overwhelming majority<\/a> of Americans, including one in three Republicans, disapprove of Trump\u2019s billionaire-first budget<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/static.foxnews.com\/foxnews.com\/content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/fox_june-13-16-2025_national_topline_june-18-release.pdf\">59%<\/a> of Americans oppose the GOP\u2019s budget bill, with only 23% saying the proposal will help their family and 49% saying it will hurt them<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kff.org\/medicaid\/poll-finding\/kff-health-tracking-poll-views-of-the-one-big-beautiful-bill\/\">64%<\/a> of Americans hold an unfavorable opinion of the GOP\u2019s tax and budget bill, including 34% of Republicans\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When people hear about the bill\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kff.org\/affordable-care-act\/press-release\/poll-public-views-big-beautiful-bill-unfavorably-by-nearly-a-2-1-margin-democrats-independents-and-non-maga-republicans-oppose-it-while-maga-supporters-favor-it-favorability-ero\/\">drastic health care cuts<\/a> support shrinks and opposition grows \u2014 including among Trump\u2019s own supporters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After being told that the bill would decrease funding for local hospitals, favorability of the bill falls to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kff.org\/affordable-care-act\/press-release\/poll-public-views-big-beautiful-bill-unfavorably-by-nearly-a-2-1-margin-democrats-independents-and-non-maga-republicans-oppose-it-while-maga-supporters-favor-it-favorability-ero\/\">21%<\/a> while unfavorability rises to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kff.org\/affordable-care-act\/press-release\/poll-public-views-big-beautiful-bill-unfavorably-by-nearly-a-2-1-margin-democrats-independents-and-non-maga-republicans-oppose-it-while-maga-supporters-favor-it-favorability-ero\/\">79%<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CHASER: \u2026 while former GOP Leader Mitch McConnell said worried families would \u201cget over it\u201d less than a month after Joni Ernst told constituents \u201cwe all are going to die.\u201d&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Timodc\/status\/1937592913220759999\">Senator Mitch McConnell<\/a>: \u201cI know <strong>a lot of us are hearing from people back
