In response to recent reports on rising prices, <\/em>DNC Communications Director Rosemary Boeglin issued the following statement:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWorking families can\u2019t afford to live in Trump\u2019s America. As the job market slows and long-term unemployment rises, Trump\u2019s erratic economic policies continue to jack up prices. Instead of focusing on a plan to bring down costs, Trump is scheming with Republicans in the House and Senate to pass a tax handout for billionaires paid for by working and middle-class Americans.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to Trump, the cost of goods \u2014 from kids\u2019 toys and wedding dresses to cars and utilities \u2014 has skyrocketed, while essentials like medical care are predicted to get more expensive. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83e\uddf8<\/strong> Toy prices are skyrocketing<\/a> at the fastest pace on record, while games and playground equipment jumped 2.2% between April and May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
