Despite Donald Trump\u2019s promise to lower costs on Day One, working families are struggling to keep up with month after month of rising prices with no end in sight. Under Trump\u2019s chaotic and failing economic agenda, everything from appliances to apparel has gotten more expensive. Instead of fighting to lower costs, Trump and Republicans passed their billionaire-first budget to give their ultra-wealthy donors another round of tax handouts on the backs of working families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s a look at how Trump\u2019s chaotic trade war is hurting American consumers:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

New York Times<\/a>: \u201cU.S. Inflation Accelerated in June as Trump\u2019s Tariffs Pushed Up Prices\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe June data still reflects only the initial impact of Mr. Trump\u2019s global trade war. \u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEconomists expect price pressures to intensify over the coming months<\/strong>, especially if new tariffs the president has threatened against the European Union and a host of other countries in recent days are imposed on Aug. 1 as planned.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
