Vance\u2019s vacationing \u2014 on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kmbc.com\/article\/secret-service-river-levels-raised-ohio-jd-vance-kayaking\/65635540\">taxpayers\u2019 dime<\/a> \u2014 might be explained by the fact that Donald Trump has relegated Vance\u2019s vice presidential duties to nothing but shit posting on <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JDVance\/status\/1953415006319431700\">social<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JDVance\/status\/1937479802484851127\">media<\/a> and trying to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/trump-administration-did-have-secret-talks-to-find-a-way-out-of-the-jeffrey-epstein-files-scandal\/\">cover up <\/a>the Epstein scandal. While Americans feel the squeeze of <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/byheatherlong\/status\/1950898692698894734?s=12\">rising prices<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.challengergray.com\/blog\/summer-lull-ends-july-job-cuts-spike-tech-ai-tariffs-blamed\/\">massive layoffs<\/a>, Vance is living it up in luxury estates across the globe \u2014 far from the reality of everyday Americans.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>In response, <\/em><strong><em>DNC Rapid Response Director Kendall Witmer released the following statement<\/em><\/strong><em>:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cJD Vance has spent more time vacationing than he has making life better and more affordable for working Americans. While Americans cut back on their summer plans to contend with skyrocketing prices and massive layoffs, Vance is making his Euro summer happen. It\u2019s clear as day, Vance\u2019s priority isn\u2019t America \u2014 he isn\u2019t even here.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cincinnati.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2025\/07\/24\/road-closures-east-walnut-hills\/85355248007\/\">back<\/a>-to-<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/03\/01\/us-news\/jd-vances-visit-to-vermont-ski-resort-interrupted-by-pro-ukraine-demonstrators-after-zelensky-exchange\/\">back<\/a> vacations \u2014 including one where he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2025\/aug\/06\/jd-vance-ohio-lake-water-levels\">used<\/a> public resources so he could have a boating day \u2014 Vance is now off to the United Kingdom. His first stop is a lavish <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/us\/politics\/2025\/08\/06\/jd-vance-stay-david-lammy-uk-family-holiday\/\">mansion<\/a> with 15 bedrooms, a billiards room and a maze, followed by a stop in the Cotswolds \u2014 a place where <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2025\/jul\/20\/jd-vance-to-spend-summer-family-holiday-in-the-cotswolds\">\u201cLand Rovers outnumber pickup trucks\u201d<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/2025\/07\/27\/why-on-earth-does-j-d-vance-want-to-holiday-in-the-cotswold\/\">celebrity neighbors<\/a> include Kate Moss, David Beckham, and Idris Elba.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This comes after Trump and Vance ripped away health care from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbpp.org\/press\/statements\/senate-republicans-can-still-abandon-disastrous-rushed-reconciliation-bill\">17 million<\/a> Americans, slashed food assistance for over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urban.org\/research\/publication\/how-senate-budget-reconciliation-snap-proposals-will-affect-families-every-us%5C\">22 million<\/a> families, and unleashed economic chaos on the American people \u2014 all to give their billionaire friends and donors another round of massive tax handouts.
