After spending their recess getting booed<\/a> at town halls over the Epstein Scandal, Members of Congress are back in D.C. and the Trump White House is now scrambling<\/a> to block the release of the Epstein Files<\/a> \u2013 again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a last minute attempt to dupe the American people, House Republicans are trying to give Trump cover and make it look like they delivered on releasing the files<\/a> \u2013 but the truth is that what they released contained almost no new information<\/a> and they\u2019re still hiding tens of thousands of pages of files from the public. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response, DNC Rapid Response Director Kendall Witmer released the following statement:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDonald Trump tried his best to make the Epstein saga go away over the summer, but now that Congress is back in session, he\u2019s going to have to face the music. It\u2019s a shame that Trump and his administration are more focused on covering up the truth than being transparent with the American people and seeking justice for the victims of Epstein\u2019s heinous crimes. It\u2019s not just cowardly, it\u2019s corrupt. No matter how much Trump tries to move on, the American people deserve to know what\u2019s in the Epstein Files and why Trump is hellbent on covering it up.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s not forget: Trump repeatedly called for the release of the Epstein Files, then failed to do so after his DOJ found<\/a> Trump\u2019s name in the Epstein Files. In August, the Trump administration started doing favors for Epstein accomplice-in-chief Ghislaine Maxwell. Trump still refuses to rule out a pardon for her \u2013 and now Maxwell is conveniently claiming<\/a> that Trump never did anything wrong. When things got really bad, Vance convened<\/a> government officials in a secret meeting to \u201cdeal\u201d with the scandal \u2014 but Vance can\u2019t hide the fact that he promised to release the files<\/a>, too.
