Today, the House Oversight Committee released documents from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate that include the \u201cbirthday book<\/a>\u201d to Epstein allegedly containing the racy doodle<\/a> from Donald Trump, that he previously said was \u201cfake\u201d because he doesn\u2019t \u201cdraw pictures of women.<\/a>\u201d This is the latest development in the failure of the Trump administration to release the Epstein Files and fulfill their promise of transparency to the American people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response, DNC Chair Ken Martin released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDid anyone believe Donald Trump when he said that he never gave Jeffrey Epstein a sexually explicit drawing as a birthday present? Is anyone surprised that the drawing is real? The question now is why Trump is embroiled in this disgusting cover up and what even worse things he’s hiding. As convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell hangs out in a \u2018country club<\/a>\u2019 detention facility thanks to Trump\u2019s protection, the American people are left without answers. It\u2019s time for Trump to stop protecting the rich and elite and stand up for the victims of Epstein\u2019s heinous crimes. Release the files.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t forget: The Epstein Files saga all started when Trump and MAGA world repeatedly campaigned on the release of the Epstein Files but then failed to do so after Trump\u2019s Department of Justice found<\/a> Trump\u2019s name in the evidence. Then the Trump administration appeared to have traded favors with Epstein accomplice-in-chief Ghislaine Maxwell. Trump still refuses to rule out a pardon for her \u2013 and now Maxwell is conveniently claiming<\/a> that Trump never did anything wrong.
