American taxpayers know how disastrous the Republican tax bill would be and that is why it is so incredibly unpopular.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Voters don&rsquo;t like what&rsquo;s in the Republican tax plan:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=http:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/223238\/independents-democrats-not-board-gop-tax-plan.aspx&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1512591928341000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEySrSjQtDMizWu-6t0nCSxl7MLfg\" href=\"http:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/223238\/independents-democrats-not-board-gop-tax-plan.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">56%<\/a>&nbsp;of Americans oppose the Republican plan, including a majority of independents<\/li>\n<li><a data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=https:\/\/poll.qu.edu\/national\/release-detail?ReleaseID%3D2504&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1512591928341000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEykNPuKlsECwy2v6iMfPlXXVhVjQ\" href=\"https:\/\/poll.qu.edu\/national\/release-detail?ReleaseID=2504\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">64%<\/a>&nbsp;of American voters say the Republican tax&nbsp;plan benefits the rich the most, while&nbsp;<a data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=https:\/\/poll.qu.edu\/national\/release-detail?ReleaseID%3D2504&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1512591928341000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEykNPuKlsECwy2v6iMfPlXXVhVjQ\" href=\"https:\/\/poll.qu.edu\/national\/release-detail?ReleaseID=2504\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">24%<\/a>&nbsp;say the tax plan benefits the middle class and only&nbsp;<a data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=https:\/\/poll.qu.edu\/national\/release-detail?ReleaseID%3D2504&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1512591928341000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEykNPuKlsECwy2v6iMfPlXXVhVjQ\" href=\"https:\/\/poll.qu.edu\/national\/release-detail?ReleaseID=2504\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">5%<\/a>&nbsp;say it benefits low-income people.<\/li>\n<li><a data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=https:\/\/poll.qu.edu\/national\/release-detail?ReleaseID%3D2504&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1512591928341000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEykNPuKlsECwy2v6iMfPlXXVhVjQ\" href=\"https:\/\/poll.qu.edu\/national\/release-detail?ReleaseID=2504\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twice<\/a>&nbsp;as many voters say that their taxes will go up under the Republican plan than say they will go down.<\/li>\n<li>Voters say&nbsp;<a data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=https:\/\/poll.qu.edu\/national\/release-detail?ReleaseID%3D2504&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1512591928341000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEykNPuKlsECwy2v6iMfPlXXVhVjQ\" href=\"https:\/\/poll.qu.edu\/national\/release-detail?ReleaseID=2504\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">61 &ndash; 34%<\/a>&nbsp;that the Republican plan favors the rich at the expense of the middle class.<\/li>\n<li>It&rsquo;s not surprise then that a&nbsp;<a data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=https:\/\/poll.qu.edu\/national\/release-detail?ReleaseID%3D2504&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1512591928341000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEykNPuKlsECwy2v6iMfPlXXVhVjQ\" href=\"https:\/\/poll.qu.edu\/national\/release-detail?ReleaseID=2504\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">plurality<\/a>&nbsp;of voters now trust Democrats over Republicans to handle taxes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nearly half&nbsp;of American taxpayers would pay more in taxes in 2027 under the Senate&nbsp;Republican tax bill, compared to current law.
