DNC Deputy Communications Director Sabrina Singh released the following statement following <\/span>reports<\/a> that Florida’s health insurers have requested average premium rate increases in the individual market of nearly 9% in 2019:<\/p>\n

“Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress should be ashamed that their partisan-fueled attacks on the American health care system are again threatening to make it harder for Florida families to access the quality care they deserve. Time and time again, Trump and Republicans have sabotaged American health care for their own political gain, and now, Florida families once again face the prospect of having to foot the bill for their actions.<\/p>\n

\n“While Trump and the GOP give tax breaks away to the top 1% and continue to undermine the Affordable Care Act, Democrats will continue working to make health care accessible to every family.
